Caldecott Medal Award Winning Books
The Caldecott Medal is awarded annually to the best illustrated children's book of the previous year. Since young children love picture books, the list of Caldecott winners and runners-up for the medal provide great ideas for books to read aloud to preschoolers and early elementary ages.
Our favorites are marked with a *.
